Rear Ends
Strange Engineering offers complete high-performance rear end systems for drag racing and track applications. Our Ford 9-inch, Dana 60, and GM 12-bolt platforms feature reinforced nodular iron cases and modular housing options. Each unit undergoes precision balancing and stress testing to handle extreme horsepower and torque loads while maintaining durability across racing conditions.
Drag Racing Axles
Manufactured from proprietary Hy-Tuf steel alloy, our racing axles combine 240,000 psi tensile strength with ductile properties for optimal performance. Available in solid and gun-drilled configurations from 31 to 40 splines, these components deliver reduced rotational mass without compromising structural integrity during high-impact racing environments.
Driveline Components
Custom-engineered driveline solutions include 3-inch and 3.5-inch chrome-moly tubing driveshafts with MIG/TIG welded yoke ends. Our vibration-balanced assemblies incorporate Spicer HD universal joints and adjustable transmission yokes to ensure smooth power transfer across all racing vehicles from street machines to Top Fuel dragsters.
Brake Kits
High-performance brake systems feature directional slotted rotors, four-piston calipers, and carbon friction materials engineered for rapid heat dissipation. Designed to meet NHRA safety standards, these kits provide consistent stopping power under extreme speeds while minimizing brake fade during consecutive runs.
Differentials
Available in helical gear, clutch-type, and locker configurations, our differential units ensure optimal torque distribution for street and competition vehicles. The Strange S-Trac system offers smooth operation with a lifetime warranty, while Eaton and Yukon options provide specialized solutions for various racing applications.

Thanks Strange Engineering for telling me you couldn't sell me a Cobra Jet 9 rear axle for my s197 due to copyright issues with Ford, then turning around and selling one to a friend 1 year later. Get your stories straight

Looking for a rear end for my race car, so i gave sales a call to go over a quote for a 9. Started talking power and use of the car and the rep straight up told me to just build a 8.8 etc. It means a lot to me that they tell you straight up and are not there to just take your money. Thanks for being a honest and trustworthy company.
