We retained Ifland Engineering to create an unusual connection or causeway between our main home and the Carriage House. They were more than accommodating as we explored the various options to create this addition to our large Vacation Rental Manor. The final results created a seamless connection between the two buildings that when the next earthquake comes will stand alone as it was designed to not depend on the two adjoining buildings.
All of our visitors are surprised to find that this was an addition, as it looked exactly like the rest of this 1922 English Tudor beach home. We would recommend Ifland Engineering to anyone who wants to have a building that is both aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound and we are retaining them for another project soon.
