Venturis have a long history as a dependable device for flow measurement. Utilizing basic physical relationships between velocities and pressures in pipes, venturis provide a stable, highly repeatable differential pressure signal that can be tailored to any application.
Venturis have a long history as a dependable device for flow measurement. Utilizing basic physical relationships between velocities and pressures in pipes, venturis provide a stable, highly repeatable differential pressure signal that can be tailored to any application. The basic performance of venturi meters is defined by their geometry but, as with any technology, refinements in the design of venturis and manipulation of the basic principles of differential pressure production have lead to advancements and improvements to the performance, especially in the case of differential pressure signal versus loss ratios, and accuracy.
Wyatt Engineering's venturi flow tubes are differential-producing flow elements that accurately and repeatably measure the flow of liquids or gases in closed, full-pipe conditions. Each venturi is designed to meet the client's specific application requirements. Liberty Venturi Meters (LVM model) - Primary flow element offers a unique combination of high performance and flexible configurations.
The Liberty Venturi Meter (LVM) is a primary flow element that accurately and repeatably measures the flows of liquids or gases in closed, full-pipe conditions. The LVM incorporates an efficient hydraulic shape with static pressure taps in the throat and inlet section. The LVM can be provided with either flanged or plain end connections.
