Vanderweil Engineers was founded in 1950 by Raimund Vanderweil, an Austrian immigrant with a mechanical engineering degree and several years of experience in mechanical contracting, engineering design, and heat transfer R&D.
Vanderweil offers a broad array of engineering services focused on sustainable MEP systems for buildings, power generation and distribution, chilled water and steam generation and distribution, and electrical transmission systems. We provide MEP Building systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and government clients. Refer to our portfolio for specific building types.
Drawing on nearly 15 years of experience in the engineering and construction industries, Steven manages corporate marketing and proposal development operations as Vanderweil Engineers' Director of Marketing. He holds a BA in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Rhode Island College as well as an OSHA 30-hour certification.
Mechanical engineering at Vanderweil focuses both on creating healthy and comfortable indoor environments for people, as well as on the generation and distribution of energy. In both these areas we apply common mechanical engineering principles, derived from the laws of thermodynamics to find the most practical and sustainable design approaches.

If you want to join a company that upper management doesn't do their job, push it all to the employees, welcome! Good management is to give your employees the right tools and good directions and stay out of their way. Who left the company 3:00pm every day isn't management!
