Swartz and Kulpa Engineering was founded in 1988. The two principals, Allan Swartz and Gregory Kulpa, have been involved all facets of the curtain wall industry. Engineered systems designed by Swartz and Kulpa can be found Across North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Hawaii and the Islands of the South Pacific. Our strong background in design and testing has given us unique insight into the performance of the individual components that make up the curtain wall. This insight has strengthened our approach to forensic analysis.

For more than 30 years Swartz and Kulpa have been involved of all aspects of exterior cladding design and engineering including stone veneer, Architectural Precast Concrete, Glass and Aluminum Curtainwall Systems, and all types of prefabricated panelized exterior wall systems. We are also experts in the design of light gage metal structures.
We are experts in all facets if design and engineering of attachment systems for Architectural Stone Veneer Cladding. SKE has designed millions of square feet of stone cladding for Commercial Buildings, Hospitals, Institutional Structures, High End Retail Establishments and Large Private Estate Size Residences. If it's stone and it goes on a building chances are we've done something like it and we've done it right.
We have extensive background in test design, setup requirements and design, test witnessing, and evaluation of test results for all types of building components. From the smallest clips and connections to full scale mock-up testing involving multiple floors and bays of a buildings curtainwall system.
We are experts at investigating all types building cladding failures. Through the use of detailed site observation, testing and analysis we have been very successful in accurately determining the actual causes of construction failures and often identifying the parties responsible.
