Spark Engineering

We truly could not have gotten our project off the ground with out SPARK. We were a brand new company looking to produce a part with tightly regulated specifications. So when we began our disc golf company(Neptune Discs) we knew we needed a design partner who could learn with us and help fill in our knowledge gaps. SPARK was able to lend us their experience in product development/injection molding and combine that with our knowledge of the sport to make our first disc.

They were always able to answer our questions and provide much needed context as we researched and learned about the industry. Going into any engineering project can feel intimidating especially when you have high expectations but are not sure of the path to get to your final design. Bruce and Phil at SPARK were wonderful to work with because they got excited about the challenges but were honest with us about the realities of designing for injection molding.

Being a new company means that transparent upfront cost estimates are critical since we needed to be efficient. They always communicated clearly about the hours needed to get our design completed and also helped condition us for the realities of making a physical product. Changes and tweaks need to be made and we understood that from the very beginning which helped us budget our resources.

We were very green at the beginning of the process but SPARK made our lives easy and helped us push through the hurdles of doing things for the first time. They also provided a catalog of contacts and recommendations so we could find partners for the stages beyond design of our product and that was invaluable.
