Services
Perigon has the long-standing reputation as a "process driven" company, and as such, we pride ourselves on offering superior process, piping and mechanical engineering. Our full-time staff of designers and professionally licensed engineers provide services from conceptual design through start-up and commissioning.
At Perigon, Process Engineering includes the design, operation, control, and optimization of chemical processes. Our staff of professionally registered engineers are comfortable performing process hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), conceptual front-end engineering design studies (FEED), development of equipment specifications, data sheets, process & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's) and process flow diagrams (PFD's), and sizing, design and start-up of complete chemical processing systems.
Piping design is a core strength of Perigon. For more than 35 years Perigon has been a recognized leader of piping design services for the chemical, oil, gas, pharmaceutical and food service industries in our region. We were one of the first users in the Southeast of 2d AutoCAD, 3d software (PDMS), and now "smart P&ID" technology to increase the speed and quality of our designs. Our team of experienced designers primarily work to ANSI B31.1 and B31.3 codes, and have experience with, cGMP, lined, and jacketed piping systems.
Perigon was one of the first engineering firms in the Southeast to adopt 3d plant design. In the late 1990's Perigon was utilizing PDMS to develop 3d interactive models for clients. We now use the AutoCAD Plant3d platform for all our modeling efforts. From the model we extract 2d drawings, pipe spool fabrication drawings, piping isometrics, stress isometrics, and piping bills of materials. We can also share the live model with clients either in person or remotely using Navisworks software for model viewing.
