The Murillo Company is a leading engineering firm that provides geotechnical engineering, environmental site assessment, and materials testing and inspection services. Founded in Houston, Texas in 1967, The Murillo Company's team of professional engineers and associates has extensive knowledge of the soil properties and environmental challenges specific to residential and commercial construction projects in Houston and throughout the Gulf Coast Region.

From assisting our clients with their environmental assessments or foundation and pavement design, to inspecting the integrity of existing buildings and ensuring the quality of new construction, The Murillo Company has the engineering knowledge, experience and team of dedicated professionals needed to see your project through to completion.
Services
In 1990, we added environmental site assessment services, and in 1996 we shortened our name to The Murillo Company. Over the past 48 years, our staff has provided geotechnical and environmental analysis and recommendations for approximately 15,000 projects. We have provided inspections and testing services on an additional 25,000 construction projects.
J. Ray Murillo has been engaged in geotechnical and related environmental engineering in the Gulf Coast Region for over 40 years. Some of his extensive experience includes design of foundations for various structures, such as high-rise structures, residential, commercial apartments, antenna towers and pavement design.
To provide you with the information necessary to make the best foundation design decisions, The Murillo Company offers comprehensive geotechnical investigation of the earth beneath the surface of your property or "subsurface strata". Our site investigations include recognized methods of exploration such as disturbed, undisturbed and rock core sampling.
Environmental Site Assessments are critical to understanding the historical use of a real estate parcel. Our qualified field professionals can help identify any environmental aspects of a piece of property that may require remediation or present future liability.
