In the 1970s, two young engineers formed a friendship early in their careers. In 1976 McTish, Kunkel and Associates (MKA) started. Pennsylvania was growing with people and goods on the move all the time. At the beginning we offered solutions to communities. As MKA helped more communities, we turned some of our attention to the transportation networks that connected these communities.
MKA's approach to design always has the same starting point. It is about delivering what the client needs. We use scientific principles to design assets and forecast their performance. Our efforts form the basis for the construction of facilities that are safe, compliant, durable, and efficient. In different markets, MKA designs and helps construct assets that make our clients successful and more competitive. Many of our clients engage MKA to supply not a single task, but a portfolio of integrated services.
Sustainability is in the scope of work of every project we undertake. Our environmental scientists execute and coordinate services that allow our clients to safely operate and protect our natural resources. Our public and private sector clients are keenly aware of the advantage gained by high compliance and stewardship.
MKA's effort to support clients often continues with construction services. Our certified professionals are on project sites verifying construction methods, materials, and safety.
