Our promise as a commercial construction company is to build community value into every one of our projects by delivering professional expertise, exceptional customer service, and quality construction. Exceptional results begin with an exceptional plan. At Hilbers, Inc. we build in value from the initiation of each project through our proven pre-construction planning services.

All organizations need a facility management strategy and Hilbers, Inc. offers a wide range of services. In a design-build project, a single contractor performs both design and construction services.

Our promise as a commercial construction company is to build community value into every one of our projects by delivering professional expertise, exceptional customer service, and quality construction. We take pride in not only being a Northern California company but also a national commercial general contractor.
Hilbers Construction was founded by Leroy Hilbers in 1962. The company began as a builder of custom homes in Yuba, Sutter, and Butte counties. In 1983 Leroy's eldest son, Kurt Hilbers, joined the business after graduating from California State University, Chico. Together they formed L&K Construction and expanded into commercial contracting.
Hilbers, Inc. is a general contractor offering commercial construction services across the United States. Our team of exceptionally skilled professionals provides a full-range of services from tenant improvements to ground-up and new construction.
Whenever we approach a new project, our goal is to build value from initiation through each phase to the completion of the project. Of course, this begins with our proven. As a long-time building of hotels and hospitality, we've worked with international hotel chains to help build several of their California locations from the ground up.

Well, I was called to go for an interview as a Project manager, but because I depressed nice, I have a bachelor degree, which it was in the requirements, also I was a carpenter for 30 years, I owned a construction company, among other businesses. I Supervised over 62 workers, not to mention my career in the military. I was interviewed by Conrad, which he seemed like not all there, and started to interview me for a lower job.

When I was called to the interview for the first job it was $84,000/year. He offered me a job way below my experience and qualifications at $42,000/year. It seems like the staff are getting old at this company, and they should considered younger people who have the experience plus the education. With all the great projects they did around California, I would expect them to be more direct and professional.

My experience upon move in, scraps for carpet in my bedroom, defective granite with ugly patch, wrinkles, divots and bumps in walls, texture all over the baseboards, walls not sanded prior to painting, construction trash buried in my yard, exposed jagged cut outs in the ceiling, repair guy never gets warranty work finished and then Hilbers says your warranty has expired, not what I consider a quality home as they advertise.

Was in contract for a new home build with Hilbers and it was the most unethical business deal of my life. C onrad has zero integrity and let his temper and emotions cloud good judgement. Long story short all my plumbing was incorrectly plumbed into the master closet. The house pad was not properly compacted and not engineered. The pad size was not constructed big enough for the homes sq footage.

I let them know of the problem, they told me I was wrong. Then days before they broke ground they marked out the perimeter and realized the pad was too small! They brought in more dirt and didn't compact it but lied and said they did. The home was supposed to be 2x6 exterior walls and was not. They used heavily dry rotted lumber to frame 1/2 of the interior walls.

Then to top it all off they built the wrong elevation design for the front of the home! All of the work was very sloppy and the framing was the worst I have ever seen (12 years in construction). These are not custom homes. They cut corners every chance they get and then LIE about it hoping you don't notice or don't care. We had a meeting to discuss all the problems and the developer was brave enough to continue his lies right to my face claiming the pad was the wrong size because he didn't know which house was going on the lot.

We were in contract with our specific homes plans that he approved for 2 months before he even built the pad for the house. It's hard to lie your way out of building the completely wrong home, but you gave it the old college try!

The staff at Hilbers Inc., were great to work with. Our project was completed on time, with excellent quality. It was a pleasure to do business with them. They are my first call next time!

The employees are the most courteous contractors I have ever met. As a hotel manager I have dealt with many construction crews and have met some very unruly guys. Every employee I have dealt with has been professional, respectful and a pleasure to deal with, from the project managers to the superintendents to the crew themselves. I have had an opportunity to see many of their projects from start to finish and am thoroughly impressed with the quality of their work. I highly recommend Hilbers for any job, big or small- remodel or new construction.

I have been chasing this company for a quote for weeks. I spoke with Jerry who seems to be terrible at returning phone calls or emails. If this is the way they do business, I sure wouldn't want to hire them. If now that I'm not a client they ignore me, for sure they would totally avoid me if anything went wrong in the construction process. They DO NOT know how to take care of potential clients. Therefore, before I was even a client they already lost my business.
