Services
In 1950, Templeton Link & Associates (TL&A) began. They offered engineering and surveying services to clients along the Wasatch Front for 40 years. In 1991, Larry Gilson, a project manager for TL&A, purchased the company and Gilson Engineering was born. Gilson Engineering continues to offer civil and structural engineering services as well as surveying services.
Gilson Engineering offers a full scope of Construction Management services to help clients manage the risk and uncertainties of construction. Our construction staff preserves the client's vision of the project by working with the designers and contractors to maintain the integrity of the delivered product.
Gilson Engineering is not only one of the leading Utah engineering firms, but our focus is also on people. We have been rated one of Utahs most family friendly businesses. We are a company of family values and focus our time on building those relationships that truly matter. You can see this reflected in our family relationships as well as in our client relationships. We truly care about helping people. Gilson Engineering understands excellence. We strive to go above and beyond on all the projects we work on.
The Gilson Engineering, Inc. Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan includes steps that all Gilson Engineering personnel are required to follow daily. These requirements safeguard against scheduling and budgetary overruns. The purpose of the QA/QC Plan is to provide a simple method of monitoring project performance so that quality, along with budgetary and scheduling constraints are consistently achieved and maintained.

I had these guys engineer my garage and they charged me accordingly. After everything was finished (months after I paid them) they sent me an additional bill and threatened collections if I didn't pay it. I'm still confused to this day what the extra bill was for. Won't ever use them again.

I am a realtor in the area and had a complicated title issue that no one else could figure out. Josh Madsen with Gilson took the time to look into the easement as well as the title work and county info to help us figure it all out. Amazing service that he did just to be a good person!
