Update; our experience with GEC had been really good lately. I think our problem in the past was when they were really growing and adding new inspectors. New inspectors are always harder to work with. The Cottage Grove inspector is GREAT. He inspects within hours. 24 or less turn around time for permits and let's us know when the deck is approved. 6 stars for him.
Some of the inspectors are great but some we have to add to a list of city's we wont build in. I had a inspector tell me that they dont charge enough for permits for him to see if they have a site plan on file. We have to map put the property and position the house on it. Over a 1000 permits pulled and never heard such a thing.

I contacted GEC to have an engineer inspect the foundation on our mobile home. Brian responded promptly to my request and set up an appointment right away. He showed up on-time and was very thorough with his inspection and report. The engineering certificate was invaluable in helping us sell the home.

My wife and I are in the process of buying a house. We needed a structural engineer to come inspect the new house. We were linked up with Brian from General Engineering Company. Every interaction with him was great. Prompt email response, friendly, and diligent would be how I describe the service we received. We are glad we could do business with this company.
