The Florida Structural Engineers Association (FSEA) was formed in 1996 to enhance the profession of structural engineering in the State of Florida. FSEA provides input and leadership on building codes and their enforcement, sponsors technical seminars and roundtable discussions, and organizes informal mixers to facilitate networking between peers.

FSEA's goal is to join together all Florida structural engineers and to address common concerns of the profession. As a member of FSEA, you also become a member of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA).
Services
On behalf of all the members of the Florida Structural Engineers Association, I express our deepest condolences to all those who have been impacted by the collapse of the Champlain Towers in Surfside, Florida. When the search, rescue and recovery phases are completed, this incident is likely to be considered the most tragic structural building collapse in Florida history.
If you would like to volunteer with one of your committees, please notify the Committee Chair of the committee you would be interested in. The goal of the Advocacy committee is to improve and enhance the image of structural engineers and of the profession itself to a broad audience consisting of students and educators, the general public and the media, code officials and government agencies, prospective clients, and other engineers. Education should include what structural engineers do and what our responsibilities are.
The name of this Association shall be FLORIDA STRUCTURAL ENGINEERS ASSOCIATION, a member organization of the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA). The office of the Association and its Chapters shall be located in the State of Florida.
Sponsoring FSEA gives your business the opportunity to reach our many members across the entire state of Florida and grow your structural engineering network. Our year-long, tiered opportunities allow you to choose your level of exposure and commitment. We look forward to working with you!

Great camp Came here in 2018 and 2022 2018-had a great time sailing and snorkeling with captain martini. No complaints about him and the camp itself was good.good food, good facilities good everything. 2022-had a great time snorkeling and sailing with captain Ron and had zero compliments about him. Everything was as good as the last time except one thing and that's fact that we had to sleep in air conditioned tents since the dorms were only for scuba diving groups and I was hot and uncomfortable.

I had trouble sleeping since I would be constantly waking up in a pool of my own sweat and there's enough space that more dorms could be built but instead they shove you into hot uncomfortable tents where you have barely any space. Please do all the Boy Scout troops that come here a favor by building more dorms because after sleeping on a boat for five days it would be nice to sleep more comfortably in a dorm versus a hot tent that is the equivalent of sleeping in an oven.

(To the public) this is a private Scouts of America facility. There are no public services or attractions here. (To Boys and Girls involved in Scouting) this is an amazing high adventure base where Scuba crews amd sailing crews learn about and enjoy the Florida Keys. Scuba Crews explore reefs and scuba dive off staffed boats to see marine life, corral reefs even shipwrecks.

The sailing crews experience living aboard sailboats and catamarans and enjoy different ports of interest, snorkeling even scuba diving off their floating home. This is one of BSA's top high adventure bases.

Absolutely incredible! What a life changing experience! We had one of the best trips ever according to our captain. Our crew did the Key West trip aboard the Stormalong. We got to swim with three goliath groupers, barracuda, sharks, stingrays, eels, and a MASSIVE variety of fish! It was insane! Additionally, we stopped at many awesome reefs and the underwater life there is insane.

We also spent a good amount of time fishing and trolling and we caught a 34 inch mahi mahi, a 24 inch tripletail, a 3ft blacktip shark, and a 53 inch wahoo all in the same day! On our second to last day, we spotted a green sea turtle off our bow at our anchor! If you get the chance to go to Florida Sea Base, go. It won't disappoint.

Four stars ONLY because there is always room for improvement. The week was great, boys were challenged to manage the boat for the week under the captains guidance. They cooked, cleaned, managed anchor watches, fished, snorkelled and sailed. We went in April so they temperature was great, winds probably around 12 kts. Snorkeling was awesome, as many times I have been to the keys I missed that part, always fishing.

The challenge for the adults was keeping them focused and off the phones if they weren't looking something up or taking pictures, which they took a lot.made a lot of memories. We tried to keep them focused on earning snorkeling, kayaking, fishing and stand up paddle boarding merit badges and activity badges. There was a little seasickness for some during the day but the evenings were moored in protected waters.

Plenty of food on board, we actually brought some home. Sleeping arrangements were a little tight, had to have three of us sleep topside, which was not bad once we figured it out.bring blow up padding. Staff was very helpful just as you would expect from BSA. Overall, don't miss this opportunity if you have it. I may actually try a little more sailing myself in the future.

This place was amazing, fun, and DEFINITELY a trip of a lifetime you don't want to miss if you get the chance! The staff was incredibly friendly, funny, cheerful, and very informative. Our troop (506 out of Wichita KS) got the chance to go, and I'm sure my fellow scouts will agree, it was worth it! We had 2 crews, one on the Misty Shoals with the younger scouts, and my crew on the DutchLove with me and the other older scouts, with the best captain in my opinion, Captain Harman.

He is very experienced, extremely smart, wise, and definitely inspirational. Every night we all just sat down and talked about things going on in the current age of the United States. Also, he taught us very good life lessons. If I kept writing about our trip, I would be here for the next week going day by day. Five stars isn't enough, if I could, it would get 10 Stars hands down.
