From Our Website
Engineering Techniques, Inc. was founded by Dan Hotek in 1995 with the purpose of honoring God by providing the very best structural engineering services to our clients. Dan Hotek, P.E., our principle engineer, has a combined 39 years of structural engineering experience with Fluor Engineers, The Reinforced Earth Company and Engineering Techniques, Inc. In designing all projects, we utilize creativity and sound engineering principles within the parameters of the applicable codes: IBC, IRC, ACI, AISC, ASCE7, NDS, AASHTO, AISI, UFC or MBMA.
Modern transportation design means integrating a variety of solutions together to reach the best outcome. If your project includes permanent or temporary MSE walls, precast traffic barrier, sound barriers (reflective or absorptive), or single span bridges for creek crossings, we can help. Tap into our experience to make your project design process go more smoothly.
We start by listening. With each new structural engineering project, we take the time to learn about our clients' needs and goals as well as the details of the project itself. Then we create a solution tailored to your specifications. Structures are our expertise. Whether you need assistance with buildings, towers, retaining walls, tanks, single-span bridges, large signs, sound barriers or more, we can provide input and assist with your decision making process. We can help you determine how best to proceed.
Do you have concerns regarding a structure that you own, manage, or may purchase? Are you considering alterations to or alternative uses for a structure? We can provide a structural inspection to determine the state of the building and recommend next steps. We offer inspections in Northern Virginia, the Northern Shenandoah Valley, the Greater Washington D.C. region or in the West Virginia Panhandle.
