Problem: Structural and civil engineers are under tremendous pressure these days. You're expected to do more with less - and do it faster - all while creating the same safe, budget-friendly, code-compliant designs you've always created. So much pressure! Tighter budgets, shorter timelines, and ever-changing code requirements. Then clients ask for design changes at the same price! Structural Engineers are highly skilled, our work is exacting and we are liable for our mistakes. Competitive pressure and heavier workloads take their toll on highly technical, detailed work.
Services
ENERCALC INC. (Formerly ENERCALC Engineering Software) was formed in 1983 by Michael D. Brooks, a California registered Civil and Structural engineer. The initial software offering was a simple set of fill-in-the-blank engineering calculation templates using the Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet. Over the next 10 years the Structural Engineering Library grew into an extensive system providing calculation ability for common engineering design tasks.
We're looking for talented help! If you're interested in becoming a part of ENERCALC's rapid growth, we'd like to hear from you. You would work from your office as an independent consultant. Testing and developing new products and software enhancements, technical and code research, and assist with technical support.
Note: Because of the evolution of the Internet and our long company history, at times our staff is working virtually and may not be in the same time zone or be available at all business hours. Business Office: Staff handles sales, user records maintenance, licensing questions, license transfers, and all sales of new subscriptions and subscription upgrades. Technical Services Office: Staff handles all software development, technical questions, documentation, and web site maintenance.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. They charge a mandatory "Maintenance and Support" fee of thousands of dollars per year to keep your license active, and they NEVER respond to support requests. I have never been able to speak to a customer support rep, as they claim to use an automated "ticketing system" for support requests, and NEVER get back to you.

I believe they purposely direct all calls to automated response lines to AVOID giving support to paying customers. I honestly think their "maintenance fees" are just a fraud scheme to steal thousands of dollars of your money annually.
