Eds Inc Important:The prices listed here may vary depending on the lot size and configuration. For a more accurate estimate we recommend that you fill out the Survey Request form. The fees estimated here are only valid for EDS, Inc. and different firms will have different estimates. Regardless of what fee a firm charges, a surveyor should be hired based on qualifications and not just price.

There is nothing more expensive than a poorly done survey regardless of how cheaply it was performed. People often ask this when they are building a fence, because very few municipalities in the Twin Cities require a survey for a fence.

Services
Our goal is to provide high quality and reliable services to our customers. EDS, Inc. uses advanced technical equipment coupled with due diligence in office calculations and in the field with boundary retracement to ensure quality and accuracy in our engineering and surveying services. Vladimir Sivriver came to the United States from Moldova in 1991 and began working for the city of New Ulm.
The project included a ten lot boundary survey and topographic survey for the design and construction of a new Vietnamese restaurant. The project included the civil design, grading, drainage, erosion control and staking of a new parking lot for an Adult Day Care Facility. For this new 10-lot plat EDS, Inc. created 12-pages of plans including a topographic survey of existing conditions, wetland delineation, street plan and profile, sanitary sewer plan and profile, storm sewer plan and profile, watermain plan and profile, tree preservation plan, utility plan, grading plan, and erosion control plan.
EDS surveyed our lot and provided us with a legal description to resolve an issue where the previous owner had placed part of the driveway on a city easement. They were extremely easy to work with and did a wonderful job on the plat and legal description. Very responsive and high quality work. I would definitely hire them again.

Wonderful experience working with Peter to do our field work and survey! He was very professional, kind, and able to set an appoint within 2 weeks. I would definitely recommend EDS to anyone in need of land surveying.

First of all, no stars, but Google forced me to give at least one. The owner (Vlad) is a bully and tried to do a "snow" job with us, thinking we wouldn't check with the local government about building permit requirements. Thank goodness we had some technical background that helped expose his shady practices. His costs kept going up and up and he even threatened not to sign future documents unless he was involved in "supervising" the process of breaking ground, resulting in further (unnecessary) expenses.

Once we saw where it was going, we ended the relationship, but he continued to harass, going even so far as to send someone pretending to be a lawyer to pump us for information and (presumably) threaten legal action. Vlad is a very negative person, he badmouths colleagues and customers alike. Wouldn't be surprised if he posts a similarly-tinged reply to this review.

Our advice: check your city requirements first and don't let him bully you into thinking you're incompetent and he's the only one who can move the project along. Better yet: STAY AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE and go with someone else! ===== Vlad Sivriver, I predicted that your response would be typical of the way you conduct your business and treat your customers - PETTY AND CONDESCENDING - and I must say, you did not disappoint! 1.

Of course you know that Nataliya is my wife, and, therefore, I was your customer too, but you conveniently chose to keep silent about that. Not very smart. 2. "She induced us to work". Quite the opposite, you were told not to work on anything beyond that for which we paid you, but instead, you took our architect's work, presented it as your own and tried to bill us for it.

How else do you explain being able to send us a proposal, the final documents, AND the invoice all on the SAME DAY? There are only 24 hours in a day, so your "work five straight days" line is rather laughable. WE HAVE THE (EMAIL) RECEIPTS, Vlad, so don't bother trying to weasel out of it - it won't work. 3. "Please grow up" - I predicted you would try to belittle us, thanks for confirming with your own words, Mr. Gulliver. 4. "The City of Minnetrista will need the plans we discussed" - In fact, the city of Minnetrista confirmed we didn't need any of the documents you tried to bilk us for. Yes, BILK, that's not a misprint.

Why would you claim something that is so easy to debunk? 5. "We will be contacting legal counsel about suing you." - Wait, wasn't the guy who called us and said he was your lawyer (yet refused to provide his name) not actually your lawyer? I believe that's called intimidation, Vlad, and, again, isn't very smart of you. 6. In fact, your threats about us "losing our house" and "regretting" this incident prompted us to report them to the appropriate authorities on THAT SAME DAY and also install security cameras to make sure you weren't tempted to follow through on your words.

In fact, we sent you an email to that effect that we'd be glad to provide, should it become necessary. Definitely not smart, Vlad. 7. Rather than engage in a verbal attack against us, maybe you should have simply apologized for the way you handled the whole thing and promised to do better next time? But, no. in your typical bully style, you had to make us look cheap by claiming we found someone $50 less expensive (totally made up story). Lying doesn't make you look very good, Vlad. 8.

If you continue to misrepresent this situation and smear our names, we will have to file a complaint with your India Office. Or your Moldova Office. Or your Lake Mille Lacs, MN Office. Or your Miami, FL Office. Wait, are you saying none of these are actual offices and are simply private residences or generic locations? (Again, so-o-o-o easy to check, Vlad, another elementary mistake on your part, I'm afraid).

Could this be an attempt to make yourself look bigger and more important, a behavior so typical of bullies? In any case, if none of these offices responds satisfactorily, I guess we'll have to contact the MN licensing agency for land surveyors. Your choice.

We hired this company in 2/21 to locate the property line that would settle a 25 year dispute with Neighbor. It was clearly explain to the survey technician "Petro" this was the reason for the survey. The survey was performed, I was happy with the results and paid for the job. On 7/21, EDS showed up at my home at 6:45am unannounced. It was explained to me the neighbor called EDS to complain that markers has been moved etc.

After a short discussion with the survey technician, I requested to speak with the supervisor. I was connected to the owner "Vladimir" around 7:30 am whom I expressed my concerns too. The initial conversation with Vladimir didn't go well as he spoke to me in a very unprofessional and condescending matter. Vladimir and I spoke again later that day and I informed him exactly what took place that triggered the call to EDS.

During the conversation, Vladimir again begin speaking in a very unprofessional manner. He said that "I'm wasting valuable time talking to you because I just missed 5 calls". He also stated that he charges $200 an hour which he will have his lawyer bill me, if I didn't pay the bill he would have my house taken from me. At that point, it was time to end the conversation, I informed him that I will be filing a complaint. Vladimir called me later in a attempt to make it right by saying that "Petro" would bring a $100 to my home if I would forget about the entire ordeal and not make a complaint.

I explained to him that it wasn't the money but the principle because no customer should have to deal with insults of that magnitude from a hired contractor. Because of the poor customer service, I would not use this company again or recommend them to any of my family or friends.

I have been working with EDS for almost a year now. They are professional, respectful, and an amazing company. Vlad and his wife Irina are two of the hardest working people I know.

EDS is a solid surveying company. Professional, and Vladimar is honest, and on point with his customers. This is my first time using a surveying company, I am pleased with the timeliness, and other aspects of the service was extremely impressive.

Having had them work for us, I can say that for our future projects we will not use them. We will also recommend to all of our acquaintances, family & friends to NOT use EDS. First off they are unprofessional, and second EDS cares only about your money. You will get charged over the initial estimate, and for all mistakes made by them; sadly EDS lacks integrity and morals.

Signed and emailed a work proposal back to them on Tuesday, they were already out checking the lay of the land two days later. Excellent communication (I'd even go as far as saying beyond expectations), thorough and precise workmanship. I was curious about the craft so I rolled back the security camera footage of them locating a corner monument, they've got far more patience than I would have! measuring with an expensive looking GPS antenna on a pole, going back to the truck, checking the measurement again, referencing off another monument, placing stuff to mark the location.

If ever there was a time to "measure twice" this would be it, so for their precision, I am grateful. Seriously could not be happier with our experience so far, and will be recommending them to friends in the future. CORRECTION: I found out they were here the NEXT DAY from signing and sending back the proposal. Granted it's likely a slow time of year for them, I am no less impressed with their outstanding response! Thanks again EDS!

They were great! I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to do a boundary survey. 1st, they quoted me hundreds less than others. 2. After signing the proposal, they completed the work in two days! Everyone else quoted me 2 to 3 weeks. I needed it done in one week and they took care of it a day earlier than initially quoted. They found me about 100 ft of land that I did not realized I had. Communication was great! I would highly recommend.

Nice guys to work with that did very timely work. I made an error and they called to talk about it and help me figure out what I truly needed for a home project dealing with Minneapolis. Prices were fair based on my limited knowledge in this area. I would recommend them to friends who need residential surveys.

I did not hire EDSMN but a neighbor three doors down did to help find property line. Employee from EDSMN came on to my property and dug two hole and in doing so split my invisible fencing wire. I contacted EDSMN and they told me that it's not my property and they can dig any where they want even ten feet into my front yard. So my sprinkler system is also not on my property I asked and he said not our problem.

I asked if there project was three houses away why were they digging in my yard. I was advised by the employee for EDSMN that he can dig where ever he wants and they don't have to tell us anything. And about my broken invisible fencing it's not his problem. I only wish my dogs were outside at the time. Not heard last from me. Couldn't post with out giving a star! Doesn't deserve even a star.
