DynaTech Engineering, Inc. is a consulting firm specializing in rotating machinery analysis and testing. To anchor analytical predictions, obtain data for troubleshooting, or simply verify acceptable operation, we obtain the vibration signature (and other data) from all types of rotating equipment. We have tested roughly 1,000 machines, from 15 to 5000 HP, including pumps, compressors (both centrifugal and reciprocating), steam and gas turbines, generators, motors, and gearboxes, operating from 30 to 50,000 rpm.
The usual deliverable with a majority of our clients is a set of modification details so that the machinery can be corrected or designed to avoid problems. Based on the results from our analysis, with test data correlation if possible, we will provide specific recommendations for modifying the hardware along with the expected results.
To support our analysis activities, we have developed a complete set of rotor dynamics computer codes that are available for commercial use. Most rotor dynamics programs (except iSTRDYN) use one-dimensional beam theory and cannot predict disk flexibility effects?
