Over four decades after its founding in 1979, S.W.COLE continues to learn from its history and operate on the values and practices of its founder, Stephen W. Cole. Steve and his wife Wendy started the firm after the company for which he was working, Jordan Gorrill Associates (JGA), closed its Presque Isle and Bangor offices.
S.W.COLE provides geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing and special inspections, and test boring explorations. S.W.COLE was founded in 1979 by Stephen W. Cole, when the Bangor office of the company he worked for, the E.C. Jordan Company, closed. Passionate about the profession and helping clients, Steve chose to offer a selected amount of specialized services - and 40+ years later, the firm has stayed true to his vision.
