With 40 years of experience and more than 90 dedicated professional and support staff, Carroll Engineering has a broad range of market sectors that we provide our services to in the Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey areas.

Whether designing new facilities or rehabilitating or maintaining existing ones, Carroll's experts employ technology with a sensitivity to protecting the environment in a cost-effective, functional manner. From planning to remediation, Carroll works with clients to responsibly manage environmental risk and respond appropriately to the concerns of the public, private and regulatory sectors. Recent projects include remediation of gasoline release at service station, design and construction administration of fuel storage tank facilities and environmental investigation for various construction projects.

From conceptual planning through final design, Carroll Engineering assists public and private clients in a wide range of traffic- and transportation-related issues. These include, as needed, review and preparation of traffic studies, parking studies and optimization, regional and sub-regional planning studies, plans and specifications for roadway signalization of all types, and pedestrian and inter-modal transportation enhancement; attendance at municipal meetings with elected and appointed officials and staff; and coordination with municipal staff, other consultants, residents, applicants and permitting agencies.

Carroll's broad structural engineering capabilities extend to the design and analysis of both existing and proposed structures including bridges, culverts, buildings, industrial plants, parking facilities and other infrastructure. Our bridge design expertise ranges from multiple-span steel or concrete bridges on state and local highways to bridges on private property, to single-span pedestrian bridges. The firm also performs NBIS structural inspections and load ratings of bridges and culverts. In addition to NBIS inspections, we have extensive experience in performing damage assessments and detailing emergency repairs.

Carroll Engineering provides construction inspection services and construction management services for highway, bridge, sewer, water main and municipal projects of diverse scope and complexity. The firm has inspectors certified in NICET (highway construction), ACI (concrete testing) and NECEPT (bituminous concrete pavement) and is skilled in the comprehensive project documentation required by Federal Aid and PennDOT projects. It is a true testimonial to your excellent professional services, and your superior staff, that Carroll Engineering continues to succeed - and grow - especially during these difficult economic times.

With municipal engineering being our core business practice, many of our municipal clients have remained with us for many years. The reason is simple - at Carroll Engineering, we understand our clients' unique needs, challenges and thinking. We guide mayors, council members, county commissioners, managers and supervisors through a minefield of analyses of environmental, infrastructure and financial planning issues. We've also assisted municipalities in obtaining federal and state grants through the design and administration of funding application packages - grants that are available for localized improvements such as flood control, parkland development, highways, bridges, water-supply systems and wastewater treatment facilities.
