From Our Website
Founded in 1961, B&L is a privately held, full-service consulting firm that provides services in practice areas that include engineering, environmental science, planning and landscape architecture. Our priority is our clients; listening to their concerns, addressing their questions and creating a plan to help them achieve their goals. B&L has the experience and enthusiasm to make our clients' vision a reality by providing long-term value engineering services, keeping a close eye on regulations and funding opportunities and using innovative ideas and emerging technologies.
At Barton & Loguidice, we understand that each project is unique and may require a team of professionals from multiple practice areas. A municipality might have a project aimed at improving public transportation with significant environmental impact, or a college could be seeking to invest in renewable energy while constructing a new building. Our professionals work collaboratively for the benefit of our clientele and are trained and experienced in innovative thinking, so we can provide one-of-a-kind solutions to your one-of-a-kind problem.
B&L's core values have been thoughtfully developed to identify both "family" core values (internal) and "business" core values (external). Family core values are specific to our B&L family - that is, our employees and how we conduct ourselves internally. B&L is committed to the core values of teamwork, trust, and integrity while providing inspiration and motivation for our employees. Business core values are focused on B&L's business objectives, procedures, and strategies. B&L is committed to the business core values of client satisfaction and effective project management.
In April of 1961, four engineers opened the doors of their new engineering firm in North Syracuse. Ed Barton, Kenneth R. Brown, James E. Clyde, and Frank A. Loguidice left stable jobs to start their own civil engineering firm. They had no clients, no projects, and not one stick of furniture, but that first day they got to work building drafting tables out of saw horses and a work station for the secretary they hoped to one day hire. Then they set about building a dream. Fast forward to today, and B&L is a multi-disciplined consulting firm headquartered in Syracuse, New York, with offices spanning across New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and Connecticut.
