American Aerospace Engineering LLC is located in White Salmon, WA 60 miles east of Portland in the Columbia Gorge. American Aerospace Engineering (AAE) LLC was founded in 2008 by Mike Bartlett. Mike has 33 years of global Aerospace Engineering and Flight Test Engineering experience and is the sole owner. AAE has a long standing partnership with the State of Washington Aerospace Department of Commerce and in particular the Office of Aerospace. Washington State Governor Jay Inslee has visited AAE at its Dallesport hangar.

AAE's founder has more than 20 years of experience working with the FAA on Type Certificates and Supplementary Type Certificates. An aircraft type certificate (TC) or supplementary type certificates (STC) will be issued after all outstanding items have been resolved, the airplane flight manual has been approved and the type certificate data sheet prepared.
Introduction to flight test gives an overview of a major portion of an aircraft / UAV flight test development and certification program (DOD or FAA), project management, test preparation, risk management, test plans, hazard analysis, test cards, briefing sheets, flight test techniques, debriefing methods, electronic data reduction, data presentation, Cooper-Harper Scale, flight summaries and final reports.
