Services
We are flying in the Super Stallion. The KLN80 GPS shows a ground speed of 211 kts with no head or tail wind. We are in a hurry and our Continental IO-550 G is turning 2,700 rpm. At 2,400 rpm normal ground speed at 12,500 ft is 193 kts while burning 14 gallons per hour. After climb we have 160 gallons of fuel in the wings.
We are proud to introduce you to the world's most efficient, high performance aircraft that gives the words "air travel" a new meaning. The Super STALLION boasts over 90 miles per gallon per seat passenger mile. No other aircraft comes even close. The Boeing 747 is the most efficient airliner with 50 mpg per seat passenger mile. The Super STALLION has a flat plate drag area of 2.8 sq.ft.
The Super Stallion comes in four kits. The kits include: All premolded, composite parts which are made out of graphite/honeycomb and fiberglass/honeycomb materials. Welded steel fuselage frame. Motor mount. Windshield. Machined parts. Hydraulic system. Landing gears. Not included are the engine, propeller, instruments, avionics, and upholstery.
The Nova was a two seat, three surface aircraft with a water cooled Rotax 563 engine with a pusher propeller. The engine turned out to be problematic and after successful flight tests the project was scraped. Dave Morss was the test pilot. Richard Trickel at High Tech Composites built parts for all of the composite airplanes from 1986 to 2002.
