Advanced Civil Design, Inc. is a consulting civil engineering and surveying firm, headquartered just outside Columbus in Gahanna, Ohio. ACD also has an office in Cary, North Carolina, serving the Raleigh-Durham metro area. ACD has multi-faceted expertise in a number of civil design and survey disciplines including Energy, Residential, Public Works, Commercial and Medical.

Advanced Civil Design was founded in 2002 by Thomas Warner, James Whitacre, and Douglas Hock. Each serves as a principal in the firm and oversees client projects. The partners' combined experience ranges from commercial projects such as distribution centers and office complexes to large-scale residential and multi-family developments and public roadway projects.

Advanced Civil Design's engineering staff uses the most advanced technology and design programs including HydroCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, StormCAD, PondPack and AutoCAD Civil 3D. ACD has the experience necessary to assist our clients at the highest level required, providing services from preliminary engineering design to construction drawing development through construction management and inspection. Our engineering staff works with local, county, state and federal standards to provide quality and complete construction documents.

Our survey crews utilize robotic survey equipment and the latest GPS technology to deliver unsurpassed accuracy in a simple, streamlined manner. Each survey crew utilizes wireless computer technology to gather all necessary information on the job site and provide seemless transition of data between office and field.
